AESOP = "Alternative Energy Solutions of the Piedmont" - a Renewable Energy Store and new member of the USA Solar Store group opens in Rock Hill, South Carolina on June 7, 2008.
Owner entrepreneurs Tim Tuten and Craig Ferguson both made the switch from their former successful careers in business because they see the need to help people make a difference in solving personal energy solutions. The two partners describe themselves as "pioneers in bringing affordable and green renewable energy to the Rock Hill area of South Carolina."
There is a growing awareness in the area Tuten said and he cites the increase in recycling and energy conservation which is leading to intelligent consumer purchasing. The next step Tuten sees is producing and offering home energy from self-designed systems that are tailored to the individual needs of homeowners.
Living in sunny South Carolina homeowners have an incentive to install renewable energy systems -- the power is FREE and the solution comes up over the horizon from the east every morning! The cost of fossil fuels increases but there is one thing that can make a difference, in utilizing solar and wind power homeowners can still keep their costs stable.
The new store will offer the latest technology in renewable energy systems including solar collectors and solar-powered attic venting fans. The latter can realize a sizeable savings in electricity bills during hot summer months. Customers can also extend the season for swimming pools with a solar covers and solar heaters.
Instead of turning on air conditioning units AESOP plans to promote the installation of small solar panels to automatically activate cooling fans. Energy-saving compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs and LED lighting tubes will also be available in the showroom and Energy Star appliances will be on display.
Tuten and Ferguson plan to provide solar installations for pumping water to assist area farms and agricultural businesses as another energy-saving option and offer heat pumps and geothermal cooling equipment.
Education will be the core of the AESOP principle and Ferguson recognizes that it is important to include kids in promoting awareness of efficiency and conservation. Like other Solar Store members Tuten believes that offering renewable energy systems to the public is "the right thing to do" and benefits everybody.
The Greek storyteller Aesop was noted for his fables but the AESOP Solar Store in Rock Hill, SC is bringing customers the real thing, bringing renewable power to the people for Alternative Energy Solutions of the Piedmont.
